Browser Extension Permissions
The Layerdolls Chrome extension requests the following permissions:
- activeTab: To save the current page as a bookmark when you click the extension
- storage: To store your authentication token locally
- tabs: To read the URL and title of the current tab for saving bookmarks
The extension only accesses page information when you actively choose to save a bookmark. We do not track your browsing history or collect data from pages you don't save.
Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely on servers hosted in the European Union
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes
Data Retention
Your bookmarks and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings.

- OpenAI: To generate summaries of saved page content (content is processed but not stored by OpenAI)
